about

You are delicate, always onto something.
I pass up so much, just to breathe you in.
I hope I love you more than I should,
I'd give you more if I could.

Sometimes we fight like we're strung up by the stars;
like the roof is our stage, like the death scene of a play.
I don't have the words to tell you what you are,
but I think on it so hard.

Coming at it over again and again,
use our hands and limbs to hold it down,
but it always seems to slip right from beneath our knees.
Even though you say you will,
even though I try.

No longer asking, I'm begging wild now,
no longer crying, I'm sitting still as stone.
Sometimes I think you're taking all my clothes,
or maybe asking for my coat.

Coming at it over again and again,
use our hands and limbs to hold it down,
but it always seems to slip right from beneath our knees.
Even though you say you will,
even though I try.

I don't blame you much at all.

Coming at it over again and again,
use our hands and limbs to hold it down,
but it always seems to slip right from beneath our knees.
Even though you say you will,
even though I try.

about

Robin Bacior Portland, Oregon

Born and raised in California, Bacior took great influence from California folk traditions and brought them with her to New York, where she began to collaborate with cellist Dan Bindschedler. The two started mending in more textured instrumentation, layering dynamic sounds into simple folk structures. Bacior and Bindschedler now both live in Portland, where they're working on a new album for 2015. ... more
